This world can be terrifying,
and sometimes I can’t believe the reality we accept as “normal.”
Maybe I’ve just been lucky to grow up feeling protected, but when I look around, it’s clear: this shouldn’t feel normal.
Animals are tortured—living creatures that feel pain, fear, and love, just like us. We can’t pretend they’re unaffected.
Then there’s the human suffering that breaks my heart:
• Men sent to die in wars.
• Women enslaved, raped, and treated as objects.
• Women in places like Afghanistan who can’t even speak or live freely.
And it doesn’t stop there—hunger, climate change, and capitalism’s grip on society. The list goes on, and it’s overwhelming. Sometimes it’s hard to find hope.
That’s why I’m so grateful for events that remind me that there are people out there with solutions, ideas, and passion to make things better. They give me hope, a spark of optimism in an otherwise daunting world.
I believe in the power of connection and innovation, and I’m grateful for spaces where people come together to create change.
