I Love to Win – But Here’s What I’ve Learned Along the Way 🏆
Winning Best Speaker at the National Debate Tournament of Austria twice and winning the novice cup at Copenhagen and Krakau as a Team was a dream come true, but the road to that moment wasn’t smooth. In fact, it was filled with losses.
I lost my first debates.
I lost the first tournament I ever entered.
And even at the World Championships, my team and I didn’t bring home a title.
But here’s what I’ve learned:
✨ Losing teaches resilience. Those early losses made me tougher, sharper, and more determined.
✨ Success isn’t always about trophies. At Worlds, I gained something far more valuable – lifelong friends, an inspiring coach, and experiences I’ll never forget.
✨ The journey matters more than the destination. Growth comes from stepping into the arena, win or lose.
Winning feels amazing, but it’s the struggles, lessons, and moments of connection along the way that truly shape you.
So here’s my message to other young teens striving for success:
👉 Don’t fear failure – embrace it as part of your story.
👉 Remember that every step, even the hard ones, brings you closer to your goals.
👉 Celebrate the process, not just the result.
What’s the most important lesson you learned from a loss? Let’s share and inspire each other. 💬
